This year I decided that at 29, it is
time to begin the process of getting a phalloplasty. I have already had
a mastectomy and have been on hormones for nearly 5 years. Since I have
always lived my adult life as a male, there really is no "transition"
for me to go through. And while it is not the course of action that many
FTM's take, I feel that a phalloplasty is the right thing for me.

I have scoured the web for any information
about FTM phalloplasty. I hope you find it useful.

There are many surgeons all over the
world who perform phalloplasties. Be careful when choosing a surgeon.
Research, research, research!

The main thing I would like to see is
pictures. I have included the few that I was able to find. This
is a work in progress and I am constantly updating these pages. Please

You can see my top (mastectomy)
surgery results with Dr. Gary Alter of Beverly Hills, CA here.
Click on the Transsexual Surgery link on the top, and then the
Chest Contouring link on the right. I am Figure 3. Dr. Alter was
very, very nice, professional, and responsive. I am pleased with
the results. Total cost: $6,200 including all post surgery checkups.
His location was convenient to me at the time and played a major
factor in choosing him. No touchups have been made so far. Three
years later and the scars look pretty much the same. |
